Who killed Goliath??

David did (1 Samuel 17:50) - "Thus David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and he struck the Philistine and killed him; but there was no sword in David’s hand."

Elhanan did (2 Sam. 21:19)- "And there was war with the Philistines again at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam."
Sino nga ba????????

i will show how mr atheist
twisted the bible to
prove that the bible is a book of errancy.......which
is not true

he said that david didnt killed goliath..... but we stand
that both
elhanan and david killed goliaths...

in the verse romi
showed it is clearly that david killed
goliath.....in 2 samuel elhanan did
killed goliath too....john is
showing here that it is an errancy....if you
are not a bible student
you will be easily deceived that those are
contradiction just as
john wants you to believe.....

now let me
prove again john you made yourself in a shame.....ehem
john ,david and
elhanan killed goliaths..two different goliaths....

Therefore David ran,
and stood upon the Philistine, and took his
sword, and drew it out of the
sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut
off his head therewith. And when the
Philistines saw their champion
was dead, they fled.

I Samuel 17:51

in this verse you see david killed and be headed goliath......this
is true....and saul the king was alive when this happened.....

And
Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this
Philistine to fight
with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man
of war from his youth.

1 samuel 17:33

while in 2 samuel

And there was again
a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where
Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim,
a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of
Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose
spear was like a weaver's
beam.

II Samuel 21:19

this is also
true elhanan killed one goliath........in this event
saul was dead
already.......this was another war...see the word
again??? and there was
again a battle....

ehem john what can you say john ehemmmmmmmmmmmmm
yabang kasi

Zepp,
The question is who's telling the fact.  Was it 1 Samuel 17:50 or 2 Sam. 21:19?

Now base on 1 Samuel 17:50 it was David and 2 Sam. 21:19, it was Elhanan.

Well, in the 1 Samuel version, David was still not the King of Israel ,but in the version crediting Elhanan for killing Goliath, David is already king, and Elhanan is a member of David' elite fighting group known as "The Thirty." David didn't kill Goliath, and he wasn't a youth when Goliath died.

> Tungkol naman sa pagpatay sa brother of Goliath. According to the King James translation of 2 Sam. 21:19 And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.

But to the original Hebrew text, the word "brother of Goliath" do not appear. Weird isn't it? Both the NIV and the NASB wrote it base on the Hebrew translation (Not from the KJV of 1611 whose is more of a copy from Erasmus down to the Latin Vulgata)

Notice that on the original Hebrew, you will never see the word "brother of."

2 Samuel 21:19 (NIV) "In another battle with the Philistines at
Gob, Elhanan son of Jaare-Oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver's rod."

2 Samuel 21:19 (NASB) "There was war with the Philistines again at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver's beam."

So again...."ehem" who's not studying the Bible @ Zepp?

Have a nice day.
John the Bible reading atheist.
