OK, so I got another comment from a Christian who wanted to shove his god right through my a**.
I don't even know where this comment came from. It was too far from the issue. Maybe he just got so pissed off with me. Anyways, since I really don't have enough time to type an answer to his comment at that time, I just stated (in a question form) that this is a "god of the gaps?" Instead of getting a rebuttal, the guy tried to make a slur, saying that I'm the filler. Too lame.
Enough of the guy and let's talk about the comment.
It is written in Tagalog, so to make things simpler, the whole comment is just saying that "Science hasn't discover everything and that it only discovered things that were already been created." So it is a kind of a god in the gaps argument; If science haven't discover things yet, them *poof* GOD! If science discovers it, then GOD is out. That's it, that's his whole fucking, goddamn comment.
Now, let see...
Who says that science is a CREATOR? Science is a study. It's a method. If you want something that creates, look it up at technology.
Science discovers - then we (by using technology) create. Science discovers bacteria and viruses as cause of diseases and NOT a god's wrath, magic and witchcraft, and then we create medicines and vaccines. Science discover the quantum realm, we created transistors and cellphones. Science discover the possibility of air flight, then we create jet engines, jet planes and rocket ships. Science discover that we can go to the Moon, then we create the means to make it happen. Science discover nuclear power, then we create reactors and bombs.
Now, science also discovered that energy and matter is almost the same thing (Thanks to Einstein's famous equation) and that energy can't be created nor destroyed which might be a little bit of a contradiction on the Christian's rant...er comment pala.
And that's how the "god of the gaps" work. It will look at things that science hasn't discovered yet and will insert itself in between the gaps. Am I the filler? Nah. It's the guy's god who tries to be a filler. A very, very bad filler.
